Welcome to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the largest College at Kennesaw State University. We offer more than 80 programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields.
As part of my own personal and professional commitment to diversity and inclusiveness, I joined with the other KSU academic deans last year in supporting a joint statement addressing this important issue. Since then, we have formed a College of Humanities and Social Sciences Diversity Action Task Force. And we will soon be sharing some of the initial results of that group’s work. Our principle, however, remains clear: We have a responsibility to create and maintain an environment conducive to the robust exchange of ideas, speculation, experimentation, and creation of knowledge. While we may not always agree on all things related to our work here at KSU, a commitment to understanding the value and necessity of these qualities underpinning our work is essential. I ask that we all strive to make that a reality in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and I welcome your ideas and suggestions about how we can best do just that.
